If only beginning piano players realized that they could create their own unique music right away, perhaps more of them would.

What I mean is this most students, young and old alike know only 2 ways to learn piano. The first way is the classical route. Here, note reading and playing of the classics is taught.

The second way is playing pop standards from either fake books or fully written music sheets.

That’s it! That’s what most people think of when they’re considering learning the piano. But, it doesn’t have to be that way at all. For instance, if you only know 2 chords and the notes of the scale or Key these chords are in, then that’s all you need to simply

Super talented Pop artist Norah Jones has released her latest CD on the Blue Note Records recording label, entitled Feels Like Home.

Unfortunately, it s not everyday that I get a CD from an artist that I can just pop in and comfortably listen to from beginning to end. There is usually a song or two that I just can t force myself to get through. Not at all the case with Feels Like Home. Every track is enjoyable and was pretty easy for me to listen to from start to finish.

One of the nicer things about a CD like this is with this level of talent even if Pop isn t your favorite genre you still can t help but

I can describe the latest release from Pop sensation Evanescence for you with just one word Outstanding!

It’s a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I’m more than happy to announce that s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all.

Fallen has a nicely varied, mix of 11 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly talented artist. With many of the songs displaying a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Seemingly drawing from what I can only

If you’re looking for a way to quickly play the piano you’re going to love this. Listen… most of you already know that the quickest way to play the piano is by learning chords.

But what most of you don’t know is what kind of chord to start out with. There are triads, seventh chords, diminished chords and thousands more. There are closed position chords and then there is something called the open position chord, and with it, you’ll be able to create your own music in less than an hour!

The first time I heard George Winston play back in the early 1980’s I was blown away. I didn’t know why I liked this music. All I knew was that it made me feel good and that was enough. I didn’t even play piano back then but something about this music seeped into me almost haunting me. The way he let the notes ring out and wasn’t concerned with pop flavorings. A new sound for the time.

When I began to play piano, I wanted to know how he did it. How did he create this music? I read somewhere that his method was to create the chords first, then improvise a melody over them. Great, but what chords and how
